My Story

From the very beginning, I've been driven by a profound desire to create spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated. Growing up at the intersection of queerness and race, I understood firsthand the challenges and struggles faced by individuals like myself. But I also knew the power of community, the transformative energy of art, and the sheer magic of self-expression.

My journey led me to become deeply involved in the arts and performance scene, where I found my voice and discovered my purpose. Through vocal coaching, music direction, and performance artistry, I've had the privilege of nurturing talent, igniting creativity, and amplifying the voices of those too often silenced.

But I didn't stop there. I wanted to build something bigger, something bolder—a movement that celebrates the kaleidoscope of colors within our beautiful queer POC community. And thus, the Black Rainbow Movement was born.

Here at BRM, we're not just about creating events; we're about crafting experiences. From our iconic Ballroom extravaganzas to our soul-stirring artistic showcases, every moment is an opportunity to celebrate our resilience, our diversity, and our unapologetic authenticity.

But beyond the glitz and glamour, BRM is a beacon of hope, a safe harbor in a world too often filled with shadows. We're here to uplift, empower, and advocate for every member of our community, fighting tirelessly for justice, equality, and liberation.
